Maksymiv Yuliia

In 2009, she graduated with honors from the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Management and Economics of Ternopil National Economic University and obtained a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing. From 2008 to 2010, she worked as an accountant and subsequently as Deputy Chief Accountant at the Public Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Design and Engineering Technological Institute of the Timber Industry.”

She pursued postgraduate studies at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. In 2012, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in the specialty 08.00.09 – Accounting, Analysis and Auditing (by Types of Economic Activity). The title of her dissertation was “Accounting and Analysis of the Integrated Use of Raw Materials for the Production of Solid Biofuel by Woodworking Enterprises.”

Since April 2017, Yuliia Maksymiv has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Public Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Design and Engineering Technological Institute of the Timber Industry.”

In 2018, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting and Auditing.

In 2020, Yuliia Maksymiv was awarded a Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine scholarship for young scientists. From 2021 to 2023, she was the principal investigator of a research project that was selected through a competitive procedure for research works and scientific and technical (experimental) developments of young scientists organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Since October 2024, Yuliia Maksymiv has been the guarantor of the Bachelor’s degree educational program “Accounting and Taxation” in specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation” at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Yuliia Maksymiv is an Associate Member of the Public Organization “Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Ukraine,” which is a member of the International Federation of Accountants.

She serves on the editorial boards of the following academic journals: the Category A journal indexed in Scopus, “Journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University” (Managing Editor of the Economics Series); and the Category B academic journal “Socio-Economic Problems of the Modern Period of Ukraine,” published by the State Institution “Institute of Regional Research named after M. I. Dolishniy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.”

Yuliia Maksymiv is the author of more than 100 publications, including more than 87 research publications, of which 17 articles are indexed in the Scopus bibliographic database and 6 articles are indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection. She is the author of one sole-authored monograph and six co-authored monographs, including two published in foreign editions, as well as publications in proceedings of international and Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences and educational and methodological works.

Yuliia Maksymiv was the principal investigator of a research project selected through a competitive procedure for research works and scientific and technical (experimental) developments of young scientists organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (project title: “Development of a Mechanism for Strategic Public Management of Ukraine’s Economic and Energy Security,” 2021–2023).

Yuliia Maksymiv was a responsible project participant in grants funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the State Fund for Fundamental Research, including: “Economic and Legal Mechanism of State Policy for the Development of the Solid Biofuel Market in Ukraine”; “Research into the Strategic Potential for the Development of Renewable Energy Based on Agriculture in Ukraine”; and “Development of a Mechanism for Stimulating the Effective Use of the Economic Potential for the Development of the Bioeconomy in Ukraine.”

In 2021, Yuliia Maksymiv was the academic supervisor of a student who received a prize at the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers in the specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation.”

She serves on the editorial boards of academic journals, including:

Following a competitive selection process, since 2021 she has been a member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, responsible for evaluating research works and scientific and technical (experimental) developments of young scientists from higher education institutions of accreditation levels III–IV and research institutions within the Ministry’s sphere of administration.

She coordinates cooperation between the Department of Accounting and Taxation and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA & CIMA), aimed at developing international professional training for students and advancing management accounting education.
